Pigeon Forge
Pigeon Forge was named for an iron foundry on the banks of the Little Pigeon river. It has grown from a tiny community settled in the late seventeen hundreds, to a fast growing town bent on showing vacationers a good time. Situated below Cove Mountain, Pigeon Forge, is home to Dollywood, Smoky Mountain shopping, entertainment, hotels, and a myriad of amusements.

One of the features of Pigeon Forge in the early days was a large mill built in 1830 by a father and son, Isaac and William Love. It is still a feature of Pigeon Forge today.
