The alpine coaster in Pigeon Forge TN is the longest downhill ride in the United States, with over 1 mile of track. Plus, it’s so easy to ride! You simply take a seat, control your speed and enjoy the thrill of riding down the mountainside.
There are a few requirements for the alpine coaster in Pigeon Forge.
To ride alone:
- Must be at least 56 inches tall
- Maximum height is 84 inches (7 feet) tall
To ride along with someone:
- Must be at least 38 inches tall
- Person controlling the sled has to be at least 56 inches tall and at least 16 years old.
Each sled can hold up to 375lbs. in dry weather and 330lbs. in rainy conditions.

The ride will take you over a mile down the mountainside. It also operates in rain and snow, so you really don’t have to miss the ride throughout your vacation.

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes, but the coaster ride is a smooth, downhill adventure, so you don’t have to be dressed specifically.

If you visit in the spring and summer, you will see the bright greenery and may even see some wildflowers during your ride.
